2005/2006
Training
FEB 2006: DeeDee is training, packing her gear, getting
food drops ready for the Iditarod and having the dogs vet checks
completed. It's a very busy month.
JAN 2006: DeeDee
will be running the Copper
Basin 300 starting Sat Jan 14, 2006. The goal will be
to train a young team and travel with our kennel handler, Maria
Mulvaugh, who will be accomplishing one of her qualifiers. January
20th, DeeDee will be racing in the Kuskokwim
300. Both of these races will be training runs to develop
our Iditarod team.
OCT/NOV 2005:Training
is in full swing. DeeDee has a measurable amount of snow to train
on and was thrilled to pull the sled out of the barn. "ATV
training is just not as much fun" says DeeDee. "The dogs
are looking great this year and I'm feeling good". Race season
is packed with fun and serious races this season including the Willow
Relay Race, Copper Basin, Kusko, Tustemena, Iditarod & the Kobuk
440. Watch for her and cheer her on. |
